During the period of 6 month(Oct.2015 to March 2016) Reliance Jio has filed a net loss of Rs 11.40 crores. According to the March 2015 report, the Company’s net loss was Rs. 15.44 crore as per the reports.
While filing a regulatory to the BSE, the company stated the Total income from the operations during the October-March period 2015-2016 to be Rs 2,00,000, which was almost same as the previous year period. Reliance Industries, the promoter of Reliance Jio has already invested Rs. 1 Lakh crore to boost the launch of 4G services.
Considering the change in allotment of spectrum, the company is know to have done advanced payment of Rs 2,860 to Reliance Communications Ltd.(RCom). RCom will now operate on CDMA spectrum in 800 MHz in nine service areas where Jio does not have its radio-waves. However, Spectrum sharing agreement is signed between the 2 countries for the rest of 17 operational circles.
For the purpose of delivering 4G as well as for getting permission to introduce new technologies and sharing the technology with other operators (if required), RCom has paid a sum of Rs 5,383.84 crore in various circles namely Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, UP East and West, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata and Bihar.
